Description
Her face depicts the strength, beauty and power of the South African grandmothers who are there to protect , nurture and care for the young ones who have suffered the loss of their parents. In South Africa, so many grannies have lost their children to the AIDS pandemic. They have taken on the responsibility of caring for and supporting their grandchildren on their $100.00 a month stipend. She is a reminder that the Divine Feminine is always with us. She is there to protect, nurture and sustain us and she is the voice that moves us forward to do that which we do not believe we can possibly do.
